Sky+ Full System Reset

When your Sky+ hard drive appears full but is not, this procedure will reset it to its normal operating size.

WARNING: This process will delete all programmes saved on you Sky+ box.

Go to the Services menu by pressing the Services button on your remote.  The following screen appears…

Service Menu

  Scroll down to SYSTEM SETUP with your arrow keys, or simply press the number 4, and then press Select, on your remote. The following screen appears…

System Setup Menu

With the above screen showing, on your remote press the number 0 key, the number 1 key, then the Select button.  The following screen appears…

Installers Menu

Scroll down to FULL SYSTEM RESET with your arrow keys or simply press the number 8 key on your remote, then press the Select key.  The following screen appears…

Full System Reset

Press the Select key on the remote to continue.  The box will display a message saying “Housekeeping in Progress” and then go into standby.  Simply wait approximately 2  minutes and turn on the box as normal.
